HOW a guy with a stutter became a global public speaker

When Shil was 10, he was punched in the face whilst playing a game of marbles in his school playground. That punch sparked a curiosity in him – a curiosity which led him on a lifelong obsession to understand how he can speak clearly.

By 2025 – Shil will have invested 34 years and more than 60,000 hours into refining his ability to speak. His obsessive curiosity had led to becoming a world renowned public speaker and storyteller. 

He is a lifelong Manchester United supporter, a wildlife enthusiast and an instant coffee lover (this is where most people cringe!) 

Shil is also the co-founder of Perth Unfiltered, a presentation mentor for Impact100 WA and the former head of speaker coaching for TEDxPerth. 

In 2021, SHIL – an award-winning short film documentary on Shil’s life, was released globally.
